September Downloads

Despite my current lack of readers, my hope for the future is of course to have many loyal fans and followers for my art. With that in mind, I want there to always be options available for those who want to enjoy my art even if they don’t have the means to purchase it. Ideally, this will be in the form of monthly free content for people to download.

I’ve been working on this illustration all week, with three goals in mind:

  1. To include art as part of my everyday schedule as much as possible, getting into the habit of allocating even just 30 minutes to sketching or coloring something.
  2. To become more comfortable with digital art. If I’m being honest, I enjoy the physical act of making art with paint or markers in a sketchbook, but I recognize that digital art has a lot to offer in terms of versatility and I want to improve!
  3. To make more original art. It’s pretty easy for me to just pick out pretty images from pinterest that I want to paint and I enjoy sketching a simple portrait or object with no real thought to overall composition or background. I want to take responsibility for creating and executing “complete” and “original” ideas in my art.

Anyway. Enough rambling. Without further ado, I present to you the first digital downloads of my blog!
